Well, today I am forcing myself and my schedule to fit it my blogging time. I have wanted to share these pictures for the last couple of weeks, and finally got them downloaded, picassa-d, and perfected! ;)
Let me also add that I have the greatest friends and family that a girl could possibly ask for! My best friend, Erin, threw together a birthday dinner with some of my closest pals, and we laughed our tails off! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, these girls!!
Birthdays in our family are still and always will be a very big deal. It is really the only day that celebrates "you" and YOU alone. Selfish as it may seem, it is kind of nice to have all of the attention for a day. It never, ever gets old. My Mom makes my birthday last a whole week by taking me to lunch every day, and giving me gifts each day until my birthday. I know, I know, she IS incredible. I hope to be just like her one day.
Not to mention my husband, Lord knows I needed a man that could handle me. He always makes me feel like a million bucks, especially on my birthday. Recession, or not, he buys me the best and most thoughtful gifts. (More about his gift to me on the next post...i promise. )
Can I just tell you how good it feels to be sitting here typing to my little hearts content?? I have missed my blogging buddies. I plan to catch up on all of your blogs tonight, and I am anxiously anticipating each one.
Blogging is my therapy, and therapy is good stuff!
back in the saddle,
me

Jill, I absolutely love birthdays! I have always been a little self centered when it comes to MY birthday! I want to be treated like a Queen on MY day and I hope to treat my girls like princesses as well! I hate it that I missed your b-day dinner but I had the best time with you and your family over the weekend and can't wait until next weekend!!! I love you!
Yay! I have been missing you! :)
I am so glad you had a wonderful birthday. I agree with you...they are your one special day a year. I love, love that your mom takes you to lunch every day that week. I think I will do that with my kids...how fun!
Love you much!
