Living life to the fullest

We had a great weekend! Saturday I took the kids to a birthday party for Scotty, a classmate of Joseph's. The party was at a local jumpy place. They had a blast! The little boy's mom has stage 4 breast cancer and she is a single parent. My heart goes out to her, and i have not been able to quit thinking and praying for them. Joseph has known that she is sick, and for the last several months has specifically prayed for her in every prayer that we pray. Scotty's mom told me that she just bought an RV and put her house on the market. She and her son will be leaving this summer to travel around the country in the Rv and she will homeschool him. She said she is trying to live life to the fullest while she is still here. Joseph and Scotty are really close and he will surely miss him not being at school. Please lift their sweet family up in prayer. I know God is able to heal her if it is His will. Scotty is an only child, and i do not think the father is in the picture. The mother's name is Heather and she is a very neat lady.

After talking to her, it really just affirms how precious every day is with our children and loved ones. She made me aware of the uncertainty of life, and how important it is to cherish each and every second. She really encouraged and inspired me, and most of all made me so thankful and grateful for the blessings that God has given me.

May God bless you, Heather and may you continue to be a witness and inspiration to all mothers. You have impacted my life, and I am grateful for that.

So TRUE!!! It sounds like you and I are learning the same lesson right now.
How can terminal cancer be hitting so close to home for us in 2 different circles???
Please add me to your list of folks that get an e-mail when you post a new blog. I'm bad about thinking to check it but sure want to know what's new with y'all.
